Marlene A. Murray

Averill Park-Marlene A. Murray, 75, passed away on Sunday August 2, 2026 at the Samaritan Hospital after a five year battle with cancer. Marlene was born in Rotterdam, NY daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Califano) Viscio and was wife of almost 50 years to Paul J. Murray. She was a 1968 graduate of Draper High School and continued her education in Cornell University and SUNY. She began her teaching career in St. Joseph's elementary school in South Troy before moving to the Berlin CSD, from which she retired.

Marlene was predeceased by her parents, her brother Ronald and her daughter and best friend Brenna Rae.

Survivors in addition to her husband include her beloved sons Paul and Patrick, her precious granddaughter Kiara Rae, her sister Sandra (Jack) Whelan, brother Norman,

A private service for family members will be held at a later date.
