Averill Park- Mary E. Turner Leon, 66, of Burden Lake Road, passed away suddenly on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at St. Peters Hospital. Born in Troy Mary was the daughter of the late Donald R. and Martha Dufresne Turner. Mary lived most of her life in Averill Park and was a 1973 graduate of the Averill Park High School. Mary had a long career with area hospitals including Albany Medical, Seton Health and last St. Peter’s Health Partners where she retired from as the Supervisor of Medical Billing. Mary enjoyed the Casinos, Card playing, Hosse’ and bowling. She loved her vacations to Rhode Island with her family and clamming.
Survivors include her daughters Jennifer (Rocky) Rayno of Wynantskill and Stephanie (Daniel) McCann of West Sand Lake, her grandchildren Dominick and Nicolina Rayno, Marcus Gabriella and Chase Rokjer, her step children Amy, Bridget, Mark and Christine her sisters Carol (Rusty) Emery of Carmel, NY, Elizabeth Habiniak of Troy and her brothers Donald (Carol) Turner of Schodack, Ronald Turner of Averill Park and Michael (Annette) Turner of Troy and many nieces and nephews. Mary was the sister of the late Donna (Larry) Flinton and Martha (Daniel) Sorenson.
Mary’s daughters wish to thank Elaine, Debbie and Jackie for all their love and support.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call 4-7 pm on Friday, February 12 at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake Averill Park.
In accordance with most recent mandate’s masks, social distancing and occupancy levels will be observed.
