East Nassau- Matthew J. Mainville, 18, of Gardner Hill Road passed on Monday, June 18, 2018 at Albany Medical Center after being stricken at home. Born in East Schodack, Matt was the beloved son of Ernest and JoAnn White Mainville. Matt had resided in East Nassau his entire life and though life was a challenge for Matt he enjoyed his time here with his family. Matt was a student at the Langan School at the Center for Disabilities and had just completed his sophomore year. Matt enjoyed listening to music, stand up comedians, his cats and his nieces and nephews.
Matt was predeceased by his longtime friend Keithie White Jr.
Survivors in addition to his mom and dad include his devoted siblings Joseph Smaldone Jr., of Fayetteville, TN, Ernest Mainville, Jr., Jenna Burt, Jonathon Mainville and Nancy Mainville all of East Nassau along with 10 nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call 4- 6:30 p.m. on Friday, June 22 at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake, Averill Park followed by a Memorial Service at 6:30.
