Sand Lake- Matthew P. Malone, 36, of Taborton Road died suddenly at his home on Saturday, November 19, 2016. Matt was born in Troy on April 1, 1980 to Stephen and Carol Malone of Sand Lake, and he always had a mischievous personality that matched his birthday.
Matt attended LaSalle Institute in Troy and Lansingburgh High School where he played football and deemed the nickname “Hot Soup”.
Matt had a passion for football and as an adult he played flag football and managed his fantasy football teams. Matt was an Eagles Fan. The only other thing that trumped his love of football was his love for his 4 beautiful children. He was an animal lover and collector and leaves behind his faithful dogs, Roscoe, Larry (Wiggles) and Diva. His big heart and larger than life personality will be remembered by all.
Survivors in addition to his parents include his beloved children Avery, Alana, Maia and Maisie Malone, his sister Valerie Malone of Troy, foster sister Stephanie Skawinski of Cohoes, nieces Aaliyah and Marissa Skawinski and his grandfather Edward Malone of Brunswick. He is survived by more than can be listed and is in the hearts of many.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday November 27, 1-4 p.m. at the Perry- Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake Averill Park.
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday
11 a.m. at the Elmwood Hill Cemetery Belle Ave. Troy.
