Averill Park- Michael F. Brown, 70, of  Totem Lodge Road, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his residence after a long illness on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. 


Born in Troy, Mike was the son of the late Robert F. and Eleanor Vargo Brown and the longtime companion of Patricia Muellecker Kaiser. Mike was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of the Averill Park High School and HVCC. Michael took a job with HVCC and had worked there in different capacities for 30 years. He had retired in 2010 and was a TV technician at that time. Michael had been a communicant of St. Henry’s church in Averill Park.


Survivors in addition to his companion of over 35 years Pat include his brother Stephen (Vickie) Brown of Las Vegas, his sister Patricia Horton of Averill Park his nephews Christopher Brown of Las Vegas and James Horton of Averill Park, Pat’s sons Michael (Julie) Kaiser Jr. of Berlin and Joseph Kaiser of Poestenkill along with her grandchildren Kaelea, Kiam and Sebastian and several great nieces and nephews. Michael was the uncle of the late Chad Walsh.


Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service 11 am on Friday, April 5 at St. Henry’s Cemetery, Averill Park, NY.
