North Greenbush- Nathan J. Snyder, 23, of Pershing Ave. passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2018. Born in Troy, Nathan was the beloved son of Linda Fryer of Wynantskill. Nathan grew up in North Greenbush attended the Averill Park Schools and was a 2013 graduate of the Averill Park High School. Upon graduation from school Nathan joined the Army. He was an Infantryman and served in Afghanistan from January 2015 until October of 2015. He returned to the States and was Honorably Discharged from Fort Campbell, KY in December of 2016. Nathan had been working at the Troy Post Office and was in the process of reenlisting in the Army. He had received numerous medals and citations during his duty.
Nathan enjoyed snowmobiling, snowboarding, hiking, fishing, was a fitness buff. Nathan was a member of the East Greenbush VFW Post 7338.
Nathan was the beloved son of Linda (Brett McNab) Fryer of Wynantskill, son of Timothy Snyder of Rensselaer, Stepson to Nicole Cassino of Averill Park, twin brother to Nicholas (Morgan) Snyder of Wynantskill, brother to Kristyn (Gary) Donnelly of Wynantskill, Stephanie M. (Jeff) Snyder of West Sand Lake and Noah T. Snyder of Averill Park, Uncle of Marley, Annie, Kennady, Chase and the late Allie, grandson of John Snyder (Kathy), Pamela Hester and the late Donald and Alice Fryer. Great grandson of Lou Verinini and also survived by the Fryer Family of Averill Park. Special thank you to Bob and Donna Gaito for their love and support. Nathan was also survived by his canine companion's Sky, Hudson, and Koby.
Funeral 11 a.m. Friday, October 26 at St. Henrys Church 39 Old Rte. 66 Averill Park where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered.
Relatives and friends invited and may also call at the CHURCH 4-7 p.m. Thursday, October 25.
