Nelson F. Mainville

East Nassau- Nelson F. Mainville, 77, of Gardner Hill Road passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026 at the Albany Medical Center Hospital after a short illness. Born in Malone, NY, Nelson was the son of the late Admiral and Florence Gero Mainville. Nelson was a lifelong resident of the area and served in the US Navy 1967-1971. Nelson Held jobs in the area including with Atlas Van Lines in Albany, Price Chopper and the Town of Nassau Landfill. Nelson was a voracious reader and had a collection of books, he enjoyed gaming and watching movies.

Nelson was the brother of the late Michael and Stephen Mainville, Ann Harris and Jennie Williams.

Survivors include his brothers Neil “Ike” Mainville of Tennessee, Adam Mainville of Colonie ant Ernest Mainville of East Nassau along with many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call 11-2 on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake Averill Park.

Nelson will be interred at Sea in the future.
