Patricia A. McLaughlin

Latham – Patricia A. "Pat" McLaughlin, 71, of Troy N.Y. died on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at her daughter’s home after a brief illness. 

Born in Troy, Pat was the daughter of the late Edward F. and Doris R. Martin. Pat was predeceased by her husband Michael McLaughlin of whom she was married to for 52 years before his passing in February of 2022.

She was raised in Troy and attended School 1 in Troy. Pat worked in the dining hall of Siena College for 25 years before retiring. Upon her retirement, she and Michael moved to Orlando Fl. to leave the cold weather behind them. After enjoying a few years or rest, they decided it was time to go back to work. They chose a 2nd career and joined Walt Disney World in Magic Kingdom for 15 magical years. Pat enjoyed time with her family and friends from both New York and Florida. She relished the times to show her family around the Disney Parks as her and Michael became expert ambassadors for the Mouse. Her favorite past time would find her looking for a good Bingo Hall and grabbing a Stewart Coffee.

She is survived by her children Doris “Dee” (Donald) Rowland, Matthew and Scott McLaughlin, her brothers, Edward (Bonnie) Martin, Steven Martin and Larry (Susan) Martin, her grandchildren Suzanne (Mark) Fenzl, Stephanie (Christopher) Dobert, Patrick Sunkes, and her cherished great grandchildren Kaiden, Luke, Makenzie, and Finn, all of who she was affectionately known as “Gigi”. She was predeceased by her late brother William Martin and sister Sharon (Martin) Cox.

Pat’s family wishes to thank Father Kelly of St. Ambrose Parish in Latham for his kindness during her illness.
