Robert E. King Sr.

East Nassau- Robert E. King Sr., 82, of Central Nassau Road passed away on Thursday October 8, 2026 at his residence while under the care of the Community Hospice. Born in Albany, Robert was the son of Robert E. King and Florence Sears Hoffman and step son of Henry Hoffman and the beloved husband of Terry Ann Horton King for 63 years. Robert had resided in Chatham before moving to East Nassau 49 years ago. Robert spent his working career as a butcher with the Grand Union working in Schodack and retiring in 2006 from the Valatie store. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing and more recently woodworking.

Robert was the father of the late Matthew S. King and Andrew King.

Survivors in addition to his wife include his son Robert E. (Christine) King Jr. his granddaughters Ashley (Brandon) Ballou and Stephanie (Daniel) King and his great granddaughters Olivia and Violet.

A Celebration of Life for Robert and Matthew will be held in the future.
