West Sand Lake- Rose Anna Smith, 74, of Reichards Lake Road, Averill Park died suddenly on Tuesday August 13, 2013 at her residence. Born in Chatham NY, Rose was the daughter of the late George and Eva Puzio Pintz and wife for 56 years to Clayton A. Smith. Rose grew up in Chatham and many years ago had worked as a seamstress in Philmont. She and Clayton moved to the area in 1960. Rose was a homemaker and she was an Elvis Fan, enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, crafting and traveling. Rose was also an animal lover. Rose was the mother of the late Cynthia Groff. Survivors in addition to her husband include her son Barry J. Smith of Largo, FL her daughter Tara Lynn Smith of West Sand Lake, her aunt Myrtle Puzio of Brainard, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake Averill Park on Friday 5-7pm.
