Averill Park- Rosemary Brannock, 65, of Old Rte. 66 passed on to eternal life on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at her residence with loved ones at her side. Born and raised in Albany, Rosemary was the daughter of the late John J. and Rosemary Mara Brannock Jr. and the beloved wife of Timothy W. Howes. Rosemary was a graduate of Street Academy of Albany and she was a lifelong resident of the area. Rosemary had a 25-year nursing career at the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany. She also served in the Army Reserves for 30 years and had been activated 3 times serving during Operation Desert Storm, 18 months in Germany during Operation Iraqi Freedom and lastly during Operation Enduring Freedom. Rosemary was awarded numerous awards including a Bronze Star, Global War on Terrorism and the National Service Defense Medal to name a few.
Rosemary resided in Averill Park since 2001, was a communicant of St. Henry’s Church in Averill Park was proud of her 35 years of sobriety and her membership with AA. Family was important to Rosemary and she enjoyed jewelry making traveling, American Indian Heritage, hiking and spending winters at her home in Arizona.
Survivors in addition to her husband include her sons Timothy Jr., Jason and David Howes, her godchildren that were like her own Stacey Herrick, Kimberly Day and Richard Rogan, grandchildren Hannah, Xander, Hunter, Anthony and Noah Howes, great nieces Willow, Meadow Wallace, brothers and sisters Joseph (Michaelena) Sackerson, John (Barbara Roselli) Brannock, Barbara (the late Daniel) Gilchrist, Theresa (William) Kieley, Kevin (Les Ryan) Brannock, Muriel (David) Day, Joanne Brannock, Patricia (Joseph) Wademan, Michael (Susan) Brannock. Rosemary was sister of the late William Brannock.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass and Celebration of Rosemary’s life 2 pm on Monday, January 30, 2023 at St. Henry’s Church 39 Old Rte. 66 Averill Park.
A Inurnment Service with Military Honors will be held at 11:30 am Tuesday January 31, 2023 at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery Duell Road Schuylerville, NY
