Ruth Vivian Williams

Greenwood, SC- Ruth Vivian Williams, 86, of Ridge Road a former resident Dunham Hollow, Rte. 43 Averill Park died on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood. Born in Mayfield, NY, Ruth was the daughter of the late Daisy Benson Williams and the wife of the late Owen “Bill” Williams. Ruth resided in Gloversville working in the glove factories, met Bill and were married. They lived in Coloniebefore moving to Averill Park in 1964 where Ruth was a homemaker. She resided in Averill Park until 2015 when she moved to South Carolina. Ruth was a former member of the West Stephentown Baptist Church and most recently Cedarwood Community Church.

Survivors include her children Jean (Tiny Bingham) Williams and Laurie (Marvin) Cratz both of Hodges, SC. Mark (Debbie) Williams of Averill Park and Scott Williams of Schuylerville, NY along with 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Graveside Service 10 am on Saturday August 26, 2023 at Memory Gardens Cemetery 983 Watervliet Shaker Road in Colonie. Those attending should meet at front entrance at 9:45am.
