West Sand Lake-Sally J. Allen, 81, a longtime resident of Middle Court died on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at the Springs Nursing and Rehab Center after a long illness. Born and raised in Worcester, Mass. Sally had moved to West Sand Lake in 1967 with her husband, the late Thomas Allen Jr. and their family. Sally was the religious education director at the Lady of Victory Church in Troy for a number of years. She was a longtime communicant of St. Henry's Church in Averill Park and enjoyed vacations at the beach and traveling. Survivors include her children, Stephanie (Michael) Manuel of Lafayette, La. and Matthew (Diane) Allen of Averill Park; her grandchildren, Skyler Allen, Harrison and Jackson Manuel; and great-grandson, Brantly Fisk.Sally was the sister of the late Gerald McLeod. Relatives and friends are invited to call at St. Henry's Church 39 Old Rte. 66, Averill Park on Saturday March 4, 10-11 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. If desired donations may be made to Catholic Charities 40 North Main Ave., Albany, NY 12203 in memory of Sally J.
