Stephentown- Sean W. Conklin, 35, of Stephentown passed away on Tuesday January 24, 2023. Born in Suffern, NY, Sean was the beloved son of Marie A. Shockley Conklin of Stephentown and John H. Conklin of Petersburgh. Sean grew up in Sloatsburg, NY, Spring Creek, NV and Chatham, NY before moving to Stephentown, NY.

During his school years, Sean excelled in both Football and Baseball receiving multiple awards and accolades including setting a school record. Sean was a self-employed contractor with a vast knowledge and skills in multiple trades. Sean’s true passion however, was for the outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing and also enjoyed other various outdoor activities such as kayaking and riding ATVs.

In addition to his mom and dad, Sean leaves behind his sister Elizabeth (Douglas) Blish of East Nassau, his brother Troy (Anya) Conklin of Hudson and his sister Tara (Joseph) Orlando of Suffern.

Sean was loved not only by his family and close friends but also by other members of his community. He left lasting impressions on those who were blessed with the opportunity to spend time with him and will be genuinely missed by those who loved and knew him. For those who knew him best, he will be remembered as someone who provided a unique perspective in life rooted in innocence, loyalty, helpfulness, and a deep empathetic love.  

Relatives and friends are invited to call 5-7 pm on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake, Averill Park.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Catch-A-Dream Foundation, 2485 Ennis Rd., Starkville, MS. 39759 in memory of Sean W. Conklin.
