Sean M. Murdick

West Sand Lake- Sean M. Murdick, 22, of West Sand Lake passed away suddenly on September 28, 2015 in Lake Worth, Florida. Sean was the beloved son of Timothy and Kimberly Nichols Murdick. Sean was born in Albany, attended St. Jude the Apostle School was a 2011 graduate of the Averill Park High School, and attended HVCC and was a communicant of St. Henry’s Church in Averill Park. Sean was the devoted brother of Timothy Murdick, Jr. In addition to his parents and brother he will be missed by his grand parents Rebecca Lobdell of Averill Park, Larry Nichols of Poestenkill, John and Shirley Murdick of East Berne, his great grandmother Florence “Toady” Smelandand  of Poestenkill along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. Sean loved all sports, especially the time that he played Pop Warner Football, as co-captain for the Averill Park Football team, as well as playing baseball in the Twin Town League. Sean’s life was way too short, but those who were touched by his generous smile and friendship understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives.
Family and friends are invited and may call at St. Henry’s Church 39 Old Rte. 66 Averill Park on Monday 4-7 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday 10:30 a.m.
Interment will follow in the Brookside Cemetery Poestenkill, NY
If desired the family suggest donations in memory of Sean M. Murdick be made to the Sean Murdick Scholarship Fund c/o Trustco Bank 3690 NY 43 West Sand Lake, NY 12196 to be used at the Averill Park High School.
