Averill Park- Sharon M. Campbell, 79, of Taborton Road, died on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at the Albany Medical Center after a brief illness. Born in Hudson, NY, Sharon was the daughter of the late Henry E. and Virginia M. Allen Campbell. Sharon was raised in Rensselaer and raised her children in West Sand Lake. She was a homemaker but was also an entertainer. Sharon enjoyed songwriting, singing and guitar playing, with the stage name of Sherri-Lee and the Starlights.  She enjoyed writing and reading poetry and was at one time a Judo Instructor and enjoyed playing a hand of Poker. Sharon had resided with her children over the years including West Palm Beach, FL with her daughter, Charleston, SC., with her son and eventually moved to Averill Park in 2018 residing with her son.
Survivors include her children David (Tammy) Loveridge of Averill Park, Bonnie (John) Carney of West Palm Beach, Jody (Erica) Loveridge of Charleston, SC and Shannon (Kate) Loveridge of Stillwater along with a stepson Robert (Joann Beach) Loveridge of Schodack, 8 grandchildren and 4 greatgrandchildren. Sharon was predeceased by her sister Judy.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call 9-12 noon on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake Averill Park. Sharon’s family ask in honor of Sharon wear bright colors and your favorite hat.
