Shirley J. Losee

Averill Park- Shirley J. Losee, 95, of Eastern Union Turnpike, wife of David Losee for 72 years, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, June 4,2026 after a long illness. 

Born and raised in Troy and Brunswick, Shirley was the daughter of the late Howard L. and Elsie M. Peterson Rogers. Shirley had resided in Averill Park since 1960 where she was a homemaker and mom. She enjoyed tending to her gardens and working in her yard. She and David enjoyed camping and snowmobiling in their younger years.

Shirley was the sister of the late Joann, Marjorie, Nancy and Howard Rogers.

Survivors in addition to her husband include her son Scott Losse and his wife Denise of Averill Park, her sister-in-law Eileen Sheldon of Mass. and many nieces and nephews.

Shirley’s family wishes to thank her caregivers from Hospice, Grace, Cory, Rachel and Mikya for the help and care they gave to Shirley and her family over these last months.

Services will be private.
