Stephen A. Malone

Stephen A. Malone, 70, of Averill Park, NY passed away after a long illness in his home on February 8th, 2023. He was born in Troy, NY to the late Edward and Joan Malone on October 21, 1952. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, stationed in Guam, serving the Navy in the Seabees division. He was an avid book collector and seller of historical books, which he enjoyed doing with his wife Carol. Those who knew Steve know him for his quick wit, sense of humor, intellect, willingness to help others and dedication to his family.

Steve is survived by his loving wife, Carol Malone of Averill Park, his daughter Valerie Malone of Troy, his four grandchildren Avery Malone, Alana Malone, Maia Malone and Maisie Malone of Averill Park. He is also survived by his brothers Edward Francis (Deb) Malone of Brunswick, and Mark (Maria) Malone of Rotterdam. He was predeceased by his mother and father Edward and Joan Malone, his brother Michael Malone and by his loving son Matthew Malone.

Relatives and friends are invited to call 4-7pm on Monday, February 13 at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake Averill Park.

Funeral Service will be held 10am Tuesday, February 14 at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel. Burial with military honors will follow at the Gerald B.H. Solomon-Saratoga National Veterans Cemetery 200 Duell Road Schuylerville, NY at 1pm.
