Poestenkill- Tammy M. Kennedy, 47, of Liberty Lane, Averill Park died suddenly at Samaritan Hospital in Troy on July 9, 2018 after being stricken at home. Born in Troy, Tammy was the daughter of John A. and Dawn M. Madlin Blackburn of Rensselaer and the beloved wife of Michael N. Kennedy Jr.. Tammy was a lifelong resident of the Averill Park area and was a 1988 graduate of the Averill Park High School. Tammy For nearly 20 years, Tammy had been a sales associate in the jewelry department at Walmart in East Greenbush. Tammy loved everything Disney having taken many trips to Disney World and had even been a Travel Agent specializing in Disney Trips. She enjoyed Harry Potter and was involved in her sons activities and life.
Survivors in addition to her parents and husband include her son Jordan Todd Kennedy of Averill Park, her brother John A. Blackburn Jr. of Scotia, her mother in law Shirley Miner of Albany and her canine companion Pepper. Tammy was predeceased by her longtime feline Sam.
A time to celebrate Tammy’s Life will be held in the future.
