Thomas F. Ostrander

Poestenkill- Thomas F. Ostrander, 78, of Willow Lane passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024 at the Albany Medical Center after a long illness. Born in Troy, Tom was the son of the late Everett and May Loomis Ostrander and the beloved husband of Victoria Mosher Ostrander. Tom grew up in Watervliet and served in the Army from 1968 until his Honorable Discharge in 1970. Tom was retired from GE Silicones in Waterford where he had been a silicone machine operator. He had resided in Troy before moving to Poestenkill in 1994. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the quiet of his home and family.

Survivors in addition to his wife include his sons Thomas Ostrander of New Hampshire and Clayton James Ostrander of Poestenkill, his sisters Shirley (Al) Horstman of Scotia and Linda Kelsey of Albany and 3 grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call 4-7 pm on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2696 NY 43 at Glass Lake, Averill Park.
