Poestenkill- Thomas W. Clark, 86, of Blue Factory Road, died on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at the Van Rensselaer Manor after a short illness. Born in Jamestown, N.Y., Tom was the son of the late Berdette and Norma Thomas Clark and the husband for 62 years to Rosemary Close Clark. Tom had resided and was educated in Western, NY. He had started his working career in the printing business at the Arcade Herald Newspaper. He had served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. Tom and his family moved to the Poestenkill area in 1965 where he worked for Williams Press until their closing. Prior to his retirement he had worked for the Rensselaer Co. Sewer District for over 20 years. Tom enjoyed fishing, classic car shows and showing his 1962 Mercury.
Tom was the father of the late Thomas B. Clark.
Survivors in addition to his wife include his daughters Ann (Michael) Bedard and Susan Clark both of West Sand Lake, his grandchildren Stephanie Cosimano, Christina Bedard, Maryrose and Thomas Clark, his great grandchildren Lana and Trevor Cosimano.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call 4-7 p.m., Friday, March 16 at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake Averill Park.
Burial will be in the spring at the Brookside Cemetery, Barbersville.
