Poestenkill- Thomas W. Crawley Jr., 87, of Willow Lane died on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Albany Medical Center after a long illness. Born and raised in Troy, Tom was the son of the late Thomas W. and Mildred Blanchette Crawley and the beloved husband of Marilyn Rosenberger Crawley. Tom had served in the Army from 1949 to 1955 where he had served a number of those years in Germany. Tom had lived in Poestenkill since 1965. He worked for International Harvester and he retired in 1993 after 25 years of Employment at the Grand Union Distribution Center in Waterford.
Tom enjoyed bowling for many years and had been a member of many different bowling leagues. He enjoyed fishing, especially with his favorite fishing partner, Marilyn. Tom was a fan of the NY Giants, NY Yankees and Notre Dame Football and was a communicant of St. Henry’s Church in Averill Park.
Tom was predeceased by his son John T. Crowley and brother Donald Crawley.
Survivors in addition to his wife of 62 years, Marilyn, include his daughters Debbie (Roger) Teal of Poestenkill and Kathy (the late Arnold Lee Hart Jr.) Hart of Earlton, NY, his sons James (Kristin) Crawley and Joseph (Maria) Crawley both of Poestenkill, his brother Michael Crawley of Poestenkill a sister Patricia Whitish of Surprise, AZ as well as his 8 grandchildren Angela (Brian) Chesnut, Amanda (Raymond) Delmoor, Andrea (Jeff) Phillips, Katiri Hart, Ben, Henry, Evan and Emma Crawley and 4 great grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the staff at Albany Medical Center for their Outstanding care and support.
Relatives and friends are invited to call 9:30 – 10:30 am at St. Henry’s Church 39 Old Rte. 66 Averill Park on Monday June 18 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Troy.
