Poestenkill- Veronica M. Ruppert, 71, of Main Street entered eternal life on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at her residence. Born in Goshen and raised in Middletown, Roni was the daughter of the late Louis F. and Martha Krzyzczuk Wengenroth III and the beloved wife of David I. Ruppert Sr. Roni was a graduate of the Middletown High School and following their marriage and David’s military service, she and David followed his state job around New York State before settling in Poestenkill in December 1990. Roni became involved with the Poestenkill Fire Company and Ambulance. She obtained her EMT status and was an EMT with the ambulance for a number of years along with volunteering on the North Greenbush Ambulance. She also served as an EMS Coordinator with Rensselaer County. Roni was a woman of Faith and was a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Church in Wynantskill and was a Eucharistic Minister. She regularly visited the Shrine of Devine Mercy in Stockbridge, MA. Survivors in addition to her husband include her daughter Elizabeth (Todd Rowley) Goodermote of Poestenkill, David I. (Marci) Ruppert Jr. of Poestenkill and Douglas W. (Jaclyn) Ruppert of Portsmouth, VA, her brother Karl J. Wengenroth of Middletown and her grandchildren Emily, Erin, Haleigh, Jacob, Logan and Nathan. Roni was the sister of the late Louis Wengenroth IV Funeral 9:30 am, Thursday, February 24, 2022 at St. Jude’s Church, Brookside Ave. Wynantskill where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered, followed by burial at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery at 12 noon. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call on 4-7 pm on Wednesday, February 23 at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake, Averill Park, NY.
