North Greenbush- Virginia D. Eckert, 71, of the Van Rensselaer Manor died on Friday, September 30, 2022 at the Manor after an extended illness. Born in Troy, Ginny was the daughter of the late Arthur E. and Jeanette Culver Smith. Ginny was raised in Sand Lake and was a 1969 graduate of the Averill Park High School. Ginny had been a home health aide and enjoyed her feline companions and watching the Hallmark Channel.
Survivors include her daughter Jennifer (Mark) Daley of West Sand Lake her brothers Gary Smith of No. Greenbush and Brad (Marykay) Smith of South Riding, VA, her grandsons Spencer and Randy along with several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service 1 pm on Tuesday October 4, 2022 at the Sand Lake Union Cemetery, Cemetery Lane, Sand Lake, NY.
