East Greenbush- Wendy E. Bell, 63, of Saddle Hill Club Drive, died on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at St. Peters Hospital after being stricken at home earlier in the day. Born in Albany, Wendy was the daughter of Dorothy Hall Dodge of Poestenkill and the late Robert L. Dodge and wife of the late Walter W. Bell Jr. Raised at Dodge City on the mountain in Poestenkill, Wendy graduated from the Berlin High School. She had worked manager positions at area restaurants but was a homemaker and stay at home mom for most of her life. She enjoyed her grandchildren and spending time with the younger generation. She enjoyed hiking, swimming, crocheting and time spent with her family.
Survivors in addition to her mother include her son Walter W. (Sarah) Bell III of East Greenbush, brothers Martin and Daniel Dodge of Poestenkill, Brian Dodge of Berlin, her sister Bridgette Dodge of Poestenkill, her grandchildren Skyler and Madison Bell, Devonte Ortiz, and Shea Bell, her daughter in law Samantha Bell of Cropseyville along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Wendy was the mother of the late Daniel W. Bell and sister of the late Matthew Dodge.
In a last act of humanity, Wendy was an organ donor giving to those that needed help.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call 5-7 pm on Monday, April 5, 2021 at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake, Averill Park. A service for the family will follow.
Per current mandates, masks, social distancing and occupancy limits will be observed.
Inurnment at Woodside Cemetery, East Poestenkill.
