William H. Smith Jr.

Averill Park- William H. Smith Jr., 56, of Orient Avenue died suddenly at his home on Monday, September 14, 2015. Born and raised in Albany, Bill was the son of the late William H. and Helen M. Creed Smith Sr. and husband of Rhonda M. Smith. Bill had resided in Averill Park for the past 37 years and at the time of his death was a Longshoreman at the Federal Marine Terminals in Albany. Bill was a member of the International Longshoremans Union. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, motorcycles, boating, and vacationing in Hampton Beach. He enjoyed being with his family especially his grandchildren. Bill was the brother of the late Karen H. Smith. Surivivors in addition to his wife include his 5 princesses Amber (Shawn) Quinlivan of Rotterdam, Jade (Matt) Gill of Rensselaer, Shawna (Chris) Smith, Allison (Steve) Smith both of Averill Park, and Makayla (David) Smith of Pittsfield, MA, his sister Deborah M. (Robert) Oddy of Guilderland, his beloved grandchildren Tyler, Melissa, Adrianna, Matthew, Anderson, along with his expected 4th grandson, and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake Averill Park on Sunday 2-5pm followed by a service at 5pm.
