Stephentown- Raymond W. Scheilding II, 41, of Rte. 43, died on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 after a long illness. Born in Albany, Ray was the son of Raymond W. and Virginia Bowen Scheilding of Stephentown. Ray was a lifelong resident of the area and was home schooled until entering and graduating from the Berlin High School. Ray had been a driver for the Van Rensselaer Manor for 15 years. He enjoyed cooking, his friends, horseback riding, Harley Motorcycles, the outdoors, fishing and hunting. Ray had attended the West Stephentown Baptist Church.Ray was the brother of the late Steven Scheilding. Survivors in addition to his parents include his brothers Michael (Debbie) Angley and Christopher (Jennifer Shoemaker) Scheilding, his sister JoAnne Pryor, his nieces and nephews Joshua Angley, Michelle Smith, Danielle Hiser, Ben, Jonathan and Zachery Angley, Christopher Scheilding, Justin and Joel Pryor. Nephew of Ted and Ruth Rustin and Kenny and Alice Scheilding. Ray was a special friend of Mark T. “Brother from another Mother” and Marty. Ray was a Christian who lived his life as best as possible. Kindhearted and generous, who did more for others than himself. He had a great sense of humor and brought insurmountable joy to his family. He will be sorely missed. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Sunday 2 p.m. at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake Averill Park. If desired donations in memory of Raymond Scheilding may be made for his nephew Christopher’s education c/o Christopher Scheilding 756 Groveside Rd.
