Sand Lake- Shirley F. Kinney, 96, of Windmill Way, Taborton, died on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at her residence after a short illness. Born in Gloversville, NY, Shirley was the daughter of the late Everett and Pauline Simek Hoag and wife of the late David W. Kinney. Shirley was raised and educated in Gloversville and after her marriage eventually settled in Albany for a number of years.
Shirley and David had a summer residence in Taborton, Sand Lake where she moved to permanently in 2010. She had been a member of the Albany Country Club, the Eastern Star and enjoyed crocheting, knitting and cooking.
Survivors include her daughter Cheryl – Lynn Dunworth Tripi (Thomas A.) of Folsom, LA., her granddaughter and caregiver Terri Lee Dunworth of Taborton and granddaughter Kristen Marie (Mark) Masterson of Annapolis, MD and her great grandsons Thomas Frederick and Paul Christopher Masterson. Shirley was the sister of the late Everett Hoag.
Services will be private with burial at Prospect Hill Cemetery Northville, NY.
