Our Staff

Timothy is the owner of the funeral chapel and has over 30 years of experience working in funeral service. Tim is a first generation funeral director and bought the funeral chapel in 1981. Tim was the oldest of three children and grew up in Poestenkill, New York. He is a graduate of the Averill Park High School class of 1977 and Hudson Valley Community College where he graduated with A.A.S. in Mortuary Science with the class of 1979.

Tim married the former Mary Basolt and they reside in Averill Park. Tim is a former member of the Averill Park-Sand Lake Fire Company where he served as captain of the fire police. He currently serves on the board of the Brookside Cemetery Association in Poestenkill and the Board of the Community Mutual Insurance Company. Tim is a member of the National Funeral Director's Association, New York State Funeral Director's Association and the Capital District Funeral Director's Association.

Tim enjoys swimming and walking his dogs.

Kathryn is the daughter of Timothy and Mary Komdat. She is a 2008 graduate of Averill Park High School and continued her education at Hudson Valley Community College, graduating in 2011 with an A.A.S. in Mortuary Science. In 2019, Katie pursued her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Investigative Forensics and Master of Science in Criminal Justice.

Kathryn resides in the Town of Sand Lake with her rescued dog's and cat's Genevieve, Piper, Simon, Linus, and Truman. She is a member of the National Funeral Director's Association and the New York State Funeral Director's Association.

Aside from being an advocate for animal rescue, Kathryn enjoys hiking, swimming, and photography.
