Poestenkill- Brian R. Bulson Sr., 66, of Snake Hill Road died suddenly on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at the Albany Medical Center after being stricken while mowing his lawn at home. Born in Troy, Brian was the son of the late Orlin and MaryJane Rowe Bulson. Brian was a lifelong resident of Poestenkill and was a 1972 graduate of the Averill Park High School. For a number of years Brian worked at Garden Way, starting as a welder and was a Supervisor when the company closed. He finished his working career at the NYS DOT in Waterford working in the parts room and parts delivery. Brian enjoyed many years at Lebanon Valley and watching NASCAR. He was involved in the sport of go-cart racing with his son when his son was younger. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. He enjoyed taking care of his house and yard, more recently attending auctions and observing eagles.
Survivors include Mary Grace Bulson of Brunswick, his son Brian “Chip” (Danielle) Bulson Jr. of Sand Lake, his longtime companion Debbie Harblin of Poestenkill, his brothers, Richard (Linda) Bulson of Pittstown, Lawrence “Chewy” (Maria) Bulson of Falls Village, CT, and Thomas (the late Deborah) Bulson of Eagle Mills. His grandchildren Natalie and Madisyn Bulson, Alissa Mohoney and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call 4-7 pm on Monday, May 17 at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake, Averill Park. As per most recent NYS guidance masks and social distancing will be observed.
Funeral Service and Interment 11am Tuesday, May 18 at the Hillside Cemetery, Rte. 351 Poestenkill.
