Woodstock, Georgia.- Clara Weekley, 93, of Spicers Lane, died on Saturday, September 16, 2017 after a short illness. Born in Newark, NJ, Clara was the daughter of the late Thomas A. and Rita Lyons Biggins and wife of the late Robert “Gret” Weekley. Clara was a longtime resident of Fire Tower Road in West Stephentown and had worked at the former Sykes Store in Stephentown for many years. In 1995 Clara moved to New Port Richey Fla. and then to Georgia in 2002 to live with her son and family. Clara was a former communicant of St. Henry’s Church in Averill Park, former member of the Stephentown Seniors, and was an honorary member of the Albany Yacht Club.
Survivors include her son Robert T. (Gloria) Weekley of Woodstock 4 grandchildren and 5 great grand children, a great-great granddaughter and nieces and nephews.
Funeral 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 25, 2017 at St. Henry’s Church 39 Old Rte. 66 Averill Park where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered followed by an interment service in St. Henry’s Cemetery.
There will be no public calling hours.
